Dr. Connie Goddard and Dr. Mildred Rice Jordan will speak to the Society about Bordentown's iconic school as part of our celebration for Black History Month. The Bordentown School, also known as the Tuskeegee of the North,   was an all black, publicly funded, co-educational boarding school. Both speakers have written books about the school which will be available for purchase. Dr. Goddard is a historian of education and Dr. Rice Jordan has been a lifelong public school educator and a Rider University Professor. Copies of the video about the school that aired on PBS, “A Place Out of Time”, will also be available for purchase. Please join us for what will be a great presentation! We are asking for a minimum donation for this program of $10 (payable at the door). Please register for the program.
